I already have a family to take care, won't a new dog be a lot of additional work?
We get this question all the time, and if you purchase your dog from Golden State K9 the answer is a resounding NO. If you were to simply go out and buy a dog from a pet store or a breeder, you would have to train it and hope the training sticks. Any dog you purchase from Golden Stake K9 is going to come with advanced obedience training from our facility before it ever steps foot in your home.
I've heard that (fill-in-the-blank) breed is the best protection dog for women and families, is that true?
Here's a little secret that most sellers of personal protection dogs don't want you to know about: the breed and lineage is a lot less important than the actual training the dog receives. Our Master trainer Mike has been developing and perfecting training dogs systems for obedience and protection work for over 30 years and he's done it with a wide variety of dog breeds.
My partner travels a lot for work, so I'm home alone a lot. Will the dog listen to me when they're gone?
Yes, we've designed our unique training methodology to ensure our dogs listen and accepts commands for each member of the household. All protection dogs sold by Golden State K9 are trained to follow commands from male and female trainers plus each dog spends considerable time around families, children and other dogs in social situations.
